Haisla Collins
Haisla Collins is an artist of Tsimshian, Nisga’a, and Gitxsan ancestry. She paints, draws, beads, paints, and sings with a band. She is most well known for her work at the Central Vancouver Public Library, “Sisters Daughters Clan Mothers,” and “Spirits of the Realms,” a collaborative mural on Beatty Street. Haisla’s work is mystical and expressionistic and uses Indigenous forms, practices and storytelling. Her most popular item right now are UV-active neon earrings.
