British Columbia On January 30, 2026 the Province provided a discussion paper on proposed options for amendments to DRIPA and the Interpretation Act.
On January 29, 2026, the Province sent notification letters to all BC First Nations notifying of the proposed amendments. The intent of this meeting is for BC Chiefs and Leaders to review the Province’s proposal and provide space to discuss and determine a pathway forward related to the Province’s proposal.
